    Per FDA guidelines, gluten testing is not appropriate for finished products that have been fermented or hydrolyzed (e.g., kombucha, soy sauce, protein hydrolysates).
    → In these cases, we recommend testing all raw material ingredients prior to processing to support gluten-free claims.

Note: If a product has been fermented or hydrolyzed (e.g., soy sauce, kombucha, malt vinegar, beer), FDA regulations do not allow gluten testing to validate “gluten-free” claims on the final product. In those cases, we recommend testing each individual raw ingredient before processing.
